Jesse C. Howey

Jesse Calvin Howey was born January 28th, 1982 at Mercy Hospital to A.J. & Doreen Howey. He grew up in Elk River, MN.  and attended school there all through High School. In 2001 he became a daddy to Bailey Howey and raised her, often as a single parent, until she was 12 years old.  Jesse met & fell in love with Amber Kelley in 2008 and moved to Ham Lake, MN. In 2008 Jesse started school at Dunwoody College of Technology.  He graduated in 2010 with an Associate Degree in Electrical Construction & Maintenance. Jesse worked at Dispatch Industries in Lakeville early in his career where he met many of his lifelong friends. Jesse worked there until he was accepted into the IBEW Local Union 292 to start his apprenticeship as an Electrician. Jesse & Amber married in May of 2011 and welcomed their first child together, Harper, in August 2012. Amber & Jesse welcomed another child, Nolan, in 2015 and built their first home together in St. Francis. Jesse became a Journeyman in June of 2016, and welcomed their third child, Hayden, in May 2017. Jesse loved life, his friends, but most of all his family. Jesse was a family man & was an extremely hands on daddy. Jesse had many hobbies, from 4 wheeling to gardening. He had a smile that melted your heart and an infectious laugh that made everyone feel good. He was known for cracking a joke or two. Jesse’s death has left a hole in our hearts, but he will never be forgotten. He will live on forever in his children & the stories we share about the wonderful times we had. Jesse is preceded in death by his grandparents, Darrell & Carol Mausolf, Francis & Dee Kick, Calvin Howey and his Aunt, Noreen Neubauer. He is survived by his parents, A.J. Howey, Doreen Howey (Jerry) & his sister,  Kati (Mike).  His wife Amber; children, Harper, Nolan, Hayden and Bailey Howey; also many relatives and friends.  A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, January 27, 2019,  from 1-4 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home  805 Main St. NW Elk River, MN. 55330  Private interment.
