Janice Louise (Anderson) Pulford

Janice Louise Anderson Pulford, born August 5, 1938, in Bagley, MN, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2022 at Guardian Angels by the Lake in Elk River, MN. 

Janice was raised in Bagley and graduated from Bagley High School in 1956. She married Robert Graser and had three sons, Rick, Mark, and Kevin. She later married Gene August Eckstein and had two more sons, Gene Andrew, and Wayne Edward. In 1992, Janice married James Pulford and they were together until his death in 2012. 

Janice worked for Clearwater County for many years, starting in the Auditor's Department in 1977, and retiring as Deputy Treasurer in 1993. She was an active member of Calvary Evangelical Free Church in Bagley. She and Jim spent summers in Minnesota and winters in Florida. After Jim's death, she moved to Traveler's Country Club in Clear Lake, MN and Winter Haven, Florida. In 2019, she moved to Guardian Angels by the Lake in Elk River, MN. 

Janice loved to spend time with her sons and grandchildren, play cards, computer games, crafting, and scrapbooking. She had a wonderful sense of humor, laughed and smiled a lot, went on long walks, and had a strong faith in the Lord. 

She was preceded in death by her mother Carrie Nellie (Stout) Moravec; father Russell Anderson; brother Russell Anderson, Jr.; sons Mark Elroy Graser, and Wayne Edward Eckstein; husbands Robert Graser, Gene August Eckstein, and James Raymond Pulford; sister Myrna Maud Anderson Larson, and infant sister Marlys Anderson; and brother-in-law Harry Arvid Larson. 

Janice is survived by sons Rick Ray Graser of Coon Rapids, MN; Kevin Roy Graser of Winter Haven, FL, and Gene Andrew (Heather) Eckstein of Big Lake, MN; grandchildren James, Ricky, and Crystal Graser; Summer Graser Rongstad; Cody and Savanna Graser; and Amber and Alyssa Eckstein; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.  with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Calvary Evangelical Free Church, 13 Bagley Avenue NW, Bagley, MN.  Inurnment will take place in Bagley City Cemetery in the spring of 2023.  Arrangements by Dare's Funeral Home, Elk River, 763-441-1212.
