James "Jim" Mel Milton

James “Jim” Milton passed away peacefully on March 22, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1949 in St. Paul, MN to Melford and Jean (Richardson) Milton. Jim’s sense of humor and friendly spirit was well known in the Twin Cities area as a grocery manager with Country Club Markets and then with Festival Foods before retiring and then working with MedSpeed. 

Jim is survived by his daughter, Kirsten (Jason) Gustafson and her mother, Kathleen Wylie; Katelyn (Roy) Anhalt and her mother, Patricia Milton; and stepchildren, Adam (Ashley) and Melissa Lehr. His grandchildren include Arica and Rhae Reesman, Cameron Gustafson; Audrey, Shelby and Rayna Anhalt; David Lehr and Alexis Skog. He is also survived by brothers, David (Karen) Milton, Steven (Linda) Milton; sisters, Bette Fitzgerald, and Carol (Allan) Lechko; sister-in-law, Barb Milton; plus many loving nieces and nephews.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, older brother Jerry Milton and brother-in-law, John Fitzgerald

A visitation will be held on Thursday at 1:00pm followed by the service at 2:00pm at Dares Funeral Home in Elk River, MN.
