James L. Bartel

James L. Bartel Age 64, of Crosby, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jim was a cherished brother, uncle, and friend. He was a dedicated truck driver who loved nice cars and jacked up trucks. Jim had a passion for hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling, always finding joy in the great outdoors.

He is preceded in death by his beloved son, James “J.J.” Bartel Jr; his parents, Richard and Myrtle (Haffner) Bartel; siblings, Angie Bodeker, Joyce Bartel, Dick Bartel and Bobby Bartel.

Jim is survived by his siblings, Yvonne Sanvig, Tiny Judd, Janet Morin, Donna Bartel, David Bartel, Otto Bartel, and Mel Bartel; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 8th at Hope Fellowship Church, 17261 St. Francis Boulevard NW, Ramsey, MN 55303. Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:00 AM, followed by the service from 11:00 to 11:30 AM, with lunch being served immediately after.

Interment will take place at Big Lake Cemetery in Big Lake, Minnesota.
