Ida Ann (Rahn) Zimmer

Ida Ann Zimmer “Bunny”, age 86 of Elk River, MN, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was born August 31, 1937 in Elk River, MN, the daughter of Henry and Hazel (Anderson) Rahn.

Bunny graduated from Elk River High School. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, and she especially loved spending time with her family. Her outgoing and strong-willed personality will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Zimmer; and parents, Henry and Hazel Rahn.

Bunny is survived by her children, Lynn Kreuger of Amery, WI, Bruce Zimmer of Pine City, MN; granddaughters, Lisa Anderson, Stacy Nelson; great-grandchildren, Michael Anderson, Alyssa Anderson, Joslyn Hagen, Dalton Nelson; and other family and friends.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 525 Jackson St, Anoka, MN, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery in Elk River, MN.
