He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Marilyn Simms; and three brothers.

Harold is survived by his siblings, Denna (Dwight) McElhaney, Dale Simms; life partner, Shirley Saxberg; step-son, Dominic (Jessica); four granddaughters; one grandson; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW Elk River, MN on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, March 17th, 2026 from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the service at Shirley's home.
