Wold Harley G., age 93, of Elk River, MN. "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." Rev 22:13. The Shepherd has called home a member of His flock. Harley left this world to be with his God, in everlasting life and peace on February 29, 2020.
Harley was born November 14, 1926, in Minneapolis, Minn. to Edwin and Mamie Wold. In 1942 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served during WWII in the Pacific theater on the hospital ship USS Mercy (AH-8) until being honorably discharged in 1946.
Harley married Gloria Werder on March 12, 1949. The two were lifelong companions and friends. They were blessed with five sons, Mark, Craig, Bradley, Timothy and Brent.
Harley worked as a store salesman and school bus driver. He loved the company of family and friends. Harley is known for his sharp wit and quick sense of humor.
Harley is survived by his loving sons, Mark (Carol Meyer), Craig (Lenora), Bradley, Timothy and Brent; 5 grandchildren; 9 great- grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers and 2 sisters, and Gloria his loving wife of 55 years, a great Mom and homemaker.
Funeral services held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Lord of Glory Lutheran Church, Big Lake, North on Cty Rd 15 at Hwy. 10. Visitation one hour prior to service at the church on Sat. Interment Bailey Station Cemetery, Big Lake Township.
