Gregory K. Kreuser, “The Grizz”, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 at the age of 70. Greg was born in Pomona, CA on December 10, 1952 to Eugene and Delaine Kreuser.
He graduated from Elk River High School in 1970. Upon graduation, he went to work for his dad with Gene Kreuser Construction. A few years in between his construction years, he worked at Supervalu Warehouse and returned back to construction. When Gene retired, Greg took over the construction business until 2005.
Through the years Greg endured multiple surgeries, but he always had a smile on his face and whenever there was belly laughing stories to be told it was guaranteed Grizz’s name was front and foremost.
His main loves were his children and granddaughter: Deanna, Michael, and Callister. He loved his MN Twins, his favorite saying was “two times, two times” world champs. At the top of his list was hunting, fishing, and spending time with his son, Michael, daughter-in-law, Vanessa and all his hunting buddies at the hunting and fishing camp. At camp, he was Grizz the guide. He also enjoyed visiting with his daughter, Deanna and granddaughter, Callister. Greg had a big heart for everyone and everything.
Preceded in death by mother, Delaine Kreuser; nephew, Thanasi Frentzos; and cousins/dear friends, Mike Unke, Terry Bredenberg, Joe Demars.
Survived by beloved daughter, Deanna Kreuser; son, Michael (Vanessa) Kreuser; and granddaughter, Callister. He is also survived by his father, Eugene Kreuser; brothers, Jeff (Margie) Kreuser, Redgie (Patty) Kreuser; sister, Heidi (Joe) Harff; step-son, Shane Hachey; as well as many nieces & nephews and numerous friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life (but honoring Grizz’s wishes he would rather call it a party) for Grizz’s family and dear friends. It will be held at Rockwoods in Otsego on June 27 from 3 to 7 PM, visitation followed by a short service from 4 to 4:30, the remainder of the time will be stories & laughter honoring the Grizz who will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
In honor of Grizz, please wear MN Twins attire to his celebration!
A heartfelt thank you to Michael and Vanessa for having your Dad spend his final days in the comfort of your home, and to Deanna and Callister for the visits with Dad and special deliveries of groceries, prescriptions and things needed; he always enjoyed your visits. A special thank you for all you did for Greg, to Jeff and Margie Kreuser, Heidi and Joe Harff, Redgie and Patty Kreuser, Lowell Beaudry, Debbie Eid, and Steve Eid, you all had a special place in his heart.
