Gloria Jean Albrecht was born in Grand Forks, ND on November 1st, 1951 to Julian and Ruth (Leen) Albrecht. She was the 3rd of 8 children. She was a lively charismatic girl and was loved by everyone! After living in a few different places in North Dakota and Minnesota she attended Anoka High School. She must have liked it here in Anoka, because she returned to the Anoka area in the early 2000’s and stayed here.
Gloria had a dynamic personality and enjoyed life to the max! She was full of fire and spunk and didn’t allow anyone to diminish her. She loved everything Harley Davidson and loved a good party! She was always a blast to be around! We’re all gonna miss her tremdously!
Gloria was proceeded in death by her dad - Julian Albrecht, mom - Ruth Peppard, step dad - Stew Peppard, son - Michael Howard, grandson – Scott Swan Jr., and brother – David Albrecht.
Gloria is survived by her sisters - Julie Lenz, Linda Kryzer, Pam Glor (and our cousin Bev Elijah, who we claim as our sister), brothers - Al Albrecht, Garry Albrecht and Orv Albrecht, son – Scott Swan, daughter – Kerry Wederath, grandsons – Donovan Swan, Paxton Goodsky, Calvin Wederath, Nathan Saari, Little John Sederberg, and granddaughter, Megan Werner. Nine great-grandchildren and twenty-one nieces and nephews.
Gloria got her wings and flew off to Heaven on January 5th, 2026 after a long four long months of turmoil due to a massive stroke. Although we will be lost without her, we’re eternally grateful that she’s at peace now – no more pain!
Till we meet again, Sweetheart! Ride High!!
