Glenn was born on July 2, 1945, to Florence (Hortlund) and Carroll Johnson in Orlando, Florida. He passed away November11, 2021.
Glenn grew up in Hopkins, Minnesota, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1963 where he was a state champion swimmer. He served four years in the United States Air Force, with one year of service in Vietnam. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1972 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He married his wife, Pam, on June 7, 1970. They raised two daughters while living in Neenah, Wisconsin.
Glenn’s first job was picking raspberries at the age of 9. He spent his career in the paper industry as a production manager making high quality glossy paper. The paper industry took them from Minnesota to Wisconsin, and to Oregon and finally retiring to Minnesota to be close to family in 2002. Glenn loved fly fishing, bird hunting, and his girls.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, daughters: Kye (Ryan) Nicholls, Kari (Jeff) DesLauriers; grandchildren: Anders and Annika Nicholls; twin brother Greg (Paula), sister Judy Johnson and younger brother Lowell (Rebecca), two brothers-in-law: Neal (Terry) Oscarson, Evan (Mary) Oscarson, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
