Gladys Irene (Mork) Valerius

Gladys I. Valerius passed away peacefully on January 25th, 2026, at Park View Care Center in Buffalo at the age of 101. Gladys was born in Madison MN on September 19th, 1924, to Anton and Gertie Mork. She was the youngest of 4 siblings.

On March 12th, 1953, she married Bernard Valerius. The union was blessed with 1 daughter and 3 sons. If you planned on going to visit with Gladys, you planned on playing cards.

Gladys was survived by her sons, Merlin (Jane) and Steve (Rita); her grandchildren Becky (Chris), Michael, Jason, Paul, Chrissy (Mark), Alison (Marty), Amanda, Kaytlin (Andrew), Robert (Amber), and Sarah (Tanner); and her 11 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard; daughter LaVonne; son Maxim; and 2 brothers and sisters.

The family would like to thank all the staff at Park View and Trinity Hospice for their kindness and care Gladys got during her stay.
