George Ernest Cornwell

 Cornwell, George Ernest was born December 23, 1959 in Rochester, MN to Joyce (Gerths) and George Cornwell.  George spent his formative years in Foster Care, most notably the home of Fern and Herman Hemgren.  He graduated from Elk River High School in 1981.  Thereafter, George was a lifelong resident of Elk River, and received Day Services at Options, Inc. in Big Lake.  George enjoyed music and was always well dressed in button down shirts and ties.  He was very gentle, had a contagious smile, and would often blow a kiss to greet you.  George is preceded in death by his parents and foster parents.  He is survived by his sister, Meg Redmond of Plymouth, MN; three roommates and the caring staff at MacGregor Place in Elk River.  A graveside service is planned at Lakeview Cemetery in Nowthen Thursday, August 27th at 2 PM and he will be interred in the Hemgren family plot.
