Gail Joyce (Demeuse) Martin

Gail Joyce (Demeuse) Martin, Elk River, Minnesota, resident (formerly of Gladstone, Michigan), passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on February 16, 2026. Gail was born December 31st, 1958, to Clarence and Eileen (Nelson) Demeuse and graduated from Gladstone High School in 1977. She attended Northern Michigan University where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Arts and business minor in 1981.

Gail was a great athlete and enjoyed playing and coaching basketball. She met her husband Joseph at Bay College in the fall of 1978, and they married on August 23rd, 1980. Gail had three children, Kari, Shawn, and Gabriel (Katie). Gail had many interests, including playing the drums and guitar and woodworking. She also enjoyed spending time being active with her granddogs.

Gail is survived by her husband Joe, her three children Kari, Shawn, and Gabe, mother Eileen, siblings Cindy, Jan, Mark, and Gary, grandson Andrew, numerous nieces and nephews, and granddog Harvey. She was preceded in death by her father Clarence, niece Stacy Malisheski, and granddog Mocha.
