Elsbeth Margaret Kennedy Baker

January 16, 1967-July 10, 2025

Elsbeth “Beth” Baker, age 58, died peacefully in her home on July 10th, 2025. 

Elsbeth grew up in Walker and was the daughter of Charles and Blanche (Williams) Kennedy, with 5 older siblings, Charlie, Sue, Gary, David, and Laurie. After graduating high school, she moved to the Twin Cities and spent some time at Hennepin Technical College where she met and married Douglas Baker in September of 1988. In Elk River, they raised five children and attended Christ Lutheran Church. Elsbeth experienced many joys as well as many trials, and she never gave up. She loved her children and grand-children with all of her heart. She was a follower of Christ, kind, empathetic, resilient, strong and a gift giver. She left us with many small gifts to remember her by!

Preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Chuck” Kennedy, and parents, Charles and Blanche (Williams) Kennedy.

Elsbeth is survived by her five children, Brittany (Max) Baker, Elise (Kyle) Barnes, Phoenix Baker, Kelsie (Michael) Broshat, and Madison (Gabriel) Baker. Five grand-daughters, Ariella, Melanie, Kendra, Virginia, and Jane. Former husband Douglas Baker. Her siblings Sue (Chuck) Harlow, Gary (Connie) Kennedy, David Kennedy, and Laurie (Rod) Hooker. As well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Christ Church Otsego 15849 90th Street Northeast, Otsego, MN 55330. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church.
