Wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Elizabeth (Betty) Lokken will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit and her desire to share her faith with everyone she encountered.
Betty passed away on May 4th surrounded by her loved ones, ready and eager to run into the arms of the Lord. Just days before her passing she spoke expectantly about going home to Heaven and how glorious it would be to walk, run, and dance again after suffering from multiple sclerosis for 37 years. Betty was a faithful woman who studied her Bible and prayed every day for her family, wanting nothing more than for those whom she loved to know and follow Jesus, to be transformed, as she was, by the love and forgiveness of God, which she declared daily. She also enjoyed attending Vikings games and Timberwolves games with her husband Catfish and many friends wherever she went. Her smile could light up a room. She had a deep affection for dogs, a love she and her husband shared for the several pets they considered a part of their family over the life of their marriage.
Betty is survived by her husband Kim (Catfish) Lokken and her son, Rob Middleton and wife Michelle and grandchild Garrett; her son, Scott Rothmeyer and wife Jessica and grandchildren Ryan, Erica and Alena, and great grandchild Damian, and her son Dave Rothmeyer and wife Vikki, and grandchildren Brianna and Blake, and her cousin/best friend Sandy TenCate, and her beloved dog Toby.
