Doris (Connor) Garbacz

Age 90, of St Francis, MN.  Passed away in Elk River on June 30, 2024 at Guardian Angels by the Lake.

She was born on September 2, 1933, in Lone Pine Township, MN to Lawrence and Viola (Henriksen) Connor. 

Doris was devoted to her faith in God, the Bible and her Church. As a member of Trinity Lutheran Church she was influential in many charities and volunteer functions. Including Manna Market, craft bazaars and Lutheran Women Missionary League, managing the kitchen and facilitating funeral luncheons.

She also enjoyed tending to and taking care of her home.  Doris loved flowers, gardening, and beautifying the landscape they were nurtured in.

She is preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Wayne Harrington and Edward Garbacz; sisters, Shirley Ann Parrish, Ruth Connor, Viola Connor; brothers, Lawrence Connor, Allen Conner, Bill Connor, Howard Connor; and daughter, Lois Harrington.

Doris is survived by her children, Arthur Harrington, John Harrington, Dennis (Wendy) Harrington, Donald (Nancy) Harrington, and Virginia (Steven) Sobcinski; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; sister, Ellen (Mark) Hedlund; nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 3812 – 229th Avenue NW, St Francis, MN, with visitation starting one hour prior.

Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
