Doris E. Anderson

Anderson, Doris Evelyn age 91 of Elk River passed away peacefully on August 11, 2019.  Doris was born April 20, 1928 in Cedar, MN.  She was the daughter of Irving and Anna (Mevissen) Collins.  Doris grew up in rural Cedar, Minnesota the eldest of 14 (1 sister and 12 brothers).  She graduated from St. Francis High School in Little Falls, MN. On May 19, 1949 Doris was united in marriage to William (Bill) Anderson and made Elk River their home, where she lived in the same home for 66 years.  Doris was an avid gardener, fabulous cook, baker, loved garage sales and seemed to have a camera attached to her hands.  Doris was preceded in death by her husband, William and son, Jimmy.  Doris is survived by her children, Bob (Barbara) Anderson, Rita (Keith) Minard, Judy (Donny) Price, Marie Horvath, Millie Arnold, Ruth (Doug) Mordal; 22 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.  Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, August 22, 2019, 10:30  AM St. Andrews Catholic Church 566 4th St. in Elk River, MN.
