Donna Marie (Deaton) Schwarze

Donna Marie Schwarze of Elk River, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, at the age of 77.  

She was born on June 15, 1947 in Minneapolis.  She grew up on Lake Minnetonka and graduated from Minnetonka High School in Minnetonka, Minnesota. For her career, Donna proudly worked as Para-professional for Anoka Hennepin School District #11 for many years.  

She was preceded in death by her mother, Marybelle Deaton, father, Donald Deaton, infant son, Donald Deaton, and her sister, Kathleen Marschke (and Ronald Marschke).  

Donna is survived by her loving family; husband, Steve Schwarze; daughters, Brenda (Jeff) Brown and Stephanie (Robert) Conners; grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Maxim, and Logan. She is also survived by many dear friends.  

The family would like to thank Trinity Hospice for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days. Thanks also to Guardian Angels Care Center of Elk River for her care the past year.  

A Gathering of Family and Friends to celebrate Donna's life will be held on Friday, August 2, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St., Elk River, MN.  

Interment will be held at Fort Ripley National Cemetery at a later date.
