Of Otsego, age 79, passed away on April 9, 2026.
He was born on November 27, 1946, and grew up in Dayton. Don was an Army Communications Specialist from 1965-1968. He married the love of his life, Patricia Miller, on September 11, 1971, and they went on to raise their family in Otsego. He was an auto mechanic by trade and retired from Brookdale Honda in 2006.
Don was a man of few words, but had a strong faith that guided him through life. He is finally reunited with his wife after almost 30 years.
Don was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia; his parents, Henry and Marie; sisters, MaryAnn Putzier and Kay Saladin; brother, Gary Goth; nephew, Adam Abbott.
He is survived by his children, Scott (Jenny) of Big Lake, Andy of Zimmerman, and Tabetha of Otsego; grandchildren, Samantha, Andy, Josh, Abby, Jacob (Jacquelyn), Lucas, and Dustan; siblings, Richard, Robert (Clarice), Douglas (Allyson), Loris Goth, Jan (Stephen) Desloover; brother-in-law, Jerry Saladin; many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 18380 Columbus Street, Dayton, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM.
