Diann Sweet Obituary

Diann, a woman whose heart was as big as her energy, passed away on December 30th, 2025 at the age of 83. Known for her vibrant spirit and "night owl" tendencies, she lived life with a simple philosophy: there was always time for one more song, one more hand of cards, and always time for a cold Coca-Cola.

While she may not have been rich with money, Diann was the wealthiest person in the world when it came to family and friends. She understood that true riches weren’t found in a bank account, but in the laughter shared across the table and the love felt in the room. Her life was a testament to the fact that when you have family, you have everything.

Whether she was out on the dance floor, tucked away at the cabin, or cheering on the Vikings, she was happiest when surrounded by friends and family. She was a fixture at the card table, where her competitive spirit was matched only by her infectious laugh. To Diann, no one was a stranger; she loved everyone she met and was the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kindness was a quiet force that made the world feel a little smaller and much friendlier. She leaves behind a legacy of late-night talks, card games won and lost, and a family who will forever miss her caring soul.

She is survived by her siblings: Kathy (Harry), Randy, Richard, Bonnie (Ron). Her legacy of love continues through her children: Denel (Paul), Denise (Palmer), Brigitte (Mark) and Delon. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She also leaves behind a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Toby and Ginny Rumreich, brother Bobby, sister Jeanie and her beloved husband, Wes.
