Diane Mary (McCormick) Jacobson

passed on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at the age of 72.  Diane was born on Mother's Day, May 13, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She graduated from Holy Angels High School in 1969 and went on to hold various secretarial jobs until accepting a position with Abbott Northwestern Hospital where she worked for 18 years.  Twelve years ago, Diane moved from Blaine to Big Lake where she met and married John Alan Jacobson. Although she had many health issues and lived in pain, her last 10 years were the happiest of her life.

Diane’s family would like to thank Presbyterian Homes and Services: Maranatha, and Optage Hospice for their expertise, care, and compassion.

Diane is preceded in death by her husband, John; infant daughter, Cherie; mother, Janet and father, Donald McCormick.

She is survived by her siblings Donald (Mac) McCormick (Ann), Richard (Dick) McCormick (Sandra), Thomas McCormick (Izzy), Linda Munger (Steve), Cindy Perschmann (Gary); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Diane’s life will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 9 am at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St, Elk River, MN.
