In Loving Memory of Dennis Ebert
With a heart full of kindness and a twinkle of humor in his eye, Dennis has finally decided to take his well-earned fishing trip in heaven. A man with incredible hard work ethic, Dennis approached every task with unwavering dedication and a grin that hinted at a joke you might not quite get until hours later.
Dennis had a love for fishing and gardening, spending countless hours nurturing his beloved fruit trees—apples, apricots, pears, and cherries—and roses. Whether it was a perfectly ripe apple or a fragrant rose, his green thumb left an indelible mark on everything he touched.
In addition to his green thumb, Dennis had a competitive streak when it came to playing cards. He loved games like Sheepshead and Cribbage, often played during family gatherings.
Dennis was born April 12, 1937 and passed away on November 2, 2024. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret (Miller), of 63 years, age 21 (if you know, you know). Together, they raised seven incredible children: Ann Miller (Chris), Mike (Elena), Patrick (Mary), Kathy Pieper, Mary, David (Rachel), and Tom (Pam). His legacy continues to grow with 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, each carrying a piece of his heart and his love for life. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters: Jim (Betty), Rosie Luebke (Jerry), Judy Kaczmarek (Dave), and Duane (Nancy).
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Cordelia Ebert, beloved grandson, Joshua and his great granddaughter Grace. Dennis’ life was a beautiful journey marked by laughter, hard work, and a love for nature's simplest pleasures. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the gardens he tended, the fish tales he spun, and the family he cherished.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at the Church of St. Andrew in Elk River, Minnesota with visitation one hour prior.
