Deloris Ann (Aurdahl) Urness

Deloris Ann Urness, age 91 of Elk River, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. She was born December 2, 1932, in Minneapolis, the daughter of Edward and Margaret (Wintheiser) Aurdahl.

Deloris was a faithful member of Mary Queen of Peace in Rogers and the Church of Saint Andrew in Elk River. She was one of the most caring and loving people, being a great friend to everyone she met. She was a wonderful Mom, a special mother-in-law, and the best Grandma! She was always there for her daughter’s sporting events, being their biggest cheerleader and even bigger fan. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, crafting, putting together puzzles, baking, and watching sports -especially the MN Twins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Urness; parents, Edward and Margaret Aurdahl; and brother, Edward Aurdahl.

Deloris is survived by her daughters, Susan (Randy) Kern, Sharon (Paul) Hritzko; grandchildren, Carla (Corey) Betchwars and John Kern, Ben, Matthew and Joe Hritzko; great-grandchildren, Keegan and Liam Betchwars.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 10:30 AM, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM, at Church of Saint Andrew, 566 4th St NW, Elk River, MN. Burial at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
