Age 89, of St Cloud (formerly of Elk River). Passed away on November 14, 2021 at St. Cloud Hospital due to complications of COVID.
Delores was born on October 26, 1932 in Anoka, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Myrtle (Richter) Greeninger. She graduated from Elk River High School in 1950. In April 1951 she was united in marriage to Ronald Pouliot in Dayton, MN. They were blessed with six children, living in Dayton and Elk River before moving to the little red cabin in Deerwood, MN. She continued to live in the cabin for five years following the death of her husband in 2012. In August 2017 she moved to the independent senior living apartments at Benedict Village in St. Cloud where she currently resided at the time of her death.
Delores was a stay at home mother, and worked for the Sherburne County Social Services as a home health aide. She enjoyed the lake, her flower gardens, baking her “banana bread” to give away to visitors, children/grandchildren, and her friends at Benedict Village. She also had an extreme liking for ice cream, candied orange slices and tootsie rolls.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband Ronald, her son Ron “Butch”, grandson Chad, brothers Ray, Bob, and Marvin, and special family friend Tammy.
She is survived by her children: Vivian (Dale), Cheryl (Rod), Brian, Mike and Joe (Carmen); 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; her brother Ken, her sister Marlys, many nieces/nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian burial at 11:30AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the Church of St Andrew, 566 – 4th Street NW, Elk River, with visitation one hour prior to Mass. Father Kevin Anderson, a family friend, will be the celebrant. Burial of the urn will be at the St. Andrews parish cemetery in Elk River.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the family will be directed to Clemens Gardens in St. Cloud. Memorials in Dee’s name may also be directed to the donor’s choice of charity.
