David R. Clough

Age 87, of Elk River.  Passed away on September 12, 2020 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River, MN.

David was born to the late Richard Clough and Violet Hazard on April 25, 1933 in Hersey, WI.  He grew up in Thief River Falls, MN.  He married Glenice Jorde on April 12, 1953 in Mason City, IA.  They were married for 63 years and he considered that one of his most important accomplishments.  David was a talented pianist, state tournament tennis participant, Korean conflict veteran, civil engineer and TV viewing enthusiast

David is survived by his children, Richard (Kathy Preuss) Clough of Hayward, WI; and Julie (Kenneth) Nathe of Elk River, MN; granddaughters, Janae Nathe of Champlin, MN and Janessa (Robert) Laumann of Buffalo, MN; nephew, Michael (Beth) Jorde of Redding, CA and their children, Kristan and Sara; nieces, Diane Jorde of St. Criox Beach, MN and Linda (Erick) Aarthun of Cottage Cgove, MN and their children, Ashley (Kory) Osterkamp and their daughter, Clara, and Jorde Aarthun. 

David was preceded in death by his wife, Glenice; parents, Richard Clough and Violet Hazard.

Graveside service at 11:30 AM on Thurdays, October 8, 2020 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Elk River Lutheran Church.
