Darlene Dale (Davis) Waters

Darlene Dale Waters    February 15, 1948 – March 31, 2025

Darlene Dale Waters, age 77, of Elk River, passed away surrounded by family and close friends on March 31, 2025.  

Born on February 15, 1948 to Darrell and Margaret Davis. Darlene was raised in Shell Lake, Wisconsin, before moving to Robbinsdale, Minnesota, where she attended Lee Elementary and Robbinsdale Junior and Senior High Schools.

She was married to Duane P. Bauer in 1964 and together they had five children. After their divorce, she married Richard C. Waters in 1975 who also had two children and together had two more children.

Darlene taught ceramics classes for many years at Davis Ceramics in Minneapolis. She enjoyed teaching and painting with her students. She also had a love for crocheting blankets for those close to her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Waters; her parents, Darrell and Margaret Davis; her brother, Max Sanborn; her daughter, Lynn Bauer; grandson, Andrew Bauer; brother-in-law, Leslie Richter Sr.; and niece, Irene Richter.

She is survived by her children, Dawn Finn (Steve), Diana Bauer, Darla Olsen (Jeff), Duane Bauer II (Marilyn), Darrell Waters, Dustin Waters, Karen Malone (Dennis), Richard Waters II (Joey); her sister, Gloria Richter; nephew, Leslie Richter; as well as 32 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Darlene loved the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It made us happy that she found something that gave her peace. She valued the time she spent with her friends, Brother Curtis and Sister Danielle Kopotic.

Darlene was a dedicated Mother and Grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
