Craig S. Byers

Byers, Craig Steven age 63, of Elk River, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025. He was born in Minneapolis to Orva "Bud" and Irene Byers on January 3, 1962. Craig is a graduate from Mound Westonka High School. 

Craig had a successful career as a machinist and in telecommunications. Craig was a dedicated and loyal husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and conservationist. Craig's life could be heard through the music he often times played so loud.  A provider, confidant, and friend, Craig was a self-taught, self-made man who shared his wisdom and knowledge to all who were around him.

Craig is preceded in death by his mother and father, Irene and Orva "Bud" Byers; and sister Mary Jereczek. Craig is survived by his wife Cheri of 42 years; children Nicholas (Nicole) and Ashley; and granddaughter Teighyn; siblings Melody Olsen, Betty (Larry) Kriedberg, Connie Byers and Bill (Wendy) Byers; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A Celebration of life will be held January 25th from 1pm-4pm at The Buff in Big Lake. 16722 198th Ave, Big Lake, MN 55309
