Clifford Thomas Hill

Age 78 of Elk River passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025. Preceded in death by wife Terry Hill; sister in infancy, Irene Hill; parents Karl and Emma (Majava) Hill; brother Clyde Hill; father and mother-in-law Jim and Louise Nasby; and brothers-in-law Kenny Karvonen, and Chuck LaFleur. Surviving are his children Clifford James Hill (Tammy Traaseth), Scott Thomas Hill, and Amy Louise (Troy) Phillips; grandson Taylor Clifford Phillips; siblings Charlene (David) Hillstrom, Calvin (Judy) Hill, Tina LaFleur, Katie (Dennis) Potvin, and Carla (Milt) Swimmer; sister-in-law Dorothy Rice; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Cliff was a man of many interests: Hunting, fishing, savoring the outdoors, and excelling at horseshoes were some of his favorites. He was a superb carpenter and cabinet maker and was fiercely loyal to his family. Cliff heroically served our country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his bravery.

Funeral service will be held at 3PM, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at the Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main Street NW, Elk River. Interment will follow with full military honors at Orono Cemetery in Elk River. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
