Christopher Alex Elliott, 39, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on June 30, 2025. Born on May 16, 1986, to Terry and Mary Elliott, Chris grew up in Elk River, Minnesota, where he graduated from Elk River Senior High in 2005. He went on to study auto mechanics at Universal Technical Institute, graduating in the fall of 2006 and ultimately turned his passion for fixing things into a career and successful business, founding Desert Repair in Phoenix, Arizona.

Chris had called the Phoenix area home since 2011, but his heart remained rooted in the memories of growing up in Minnesota — learning from his dad and grandfathers how to take things apart, fix them, and put them back together better than before. From a young age, you could find him at their sides, asking questions and soaking up every bit of knowledge.

An adventurer at heart, Chris loved exploring Arizona’s rugged beauty — especially in Havasupai — and spending time near the lakes and wild spaces of Minnesota. Frisbee golf was another favorite pastime, and he loved competing in local leagues and sharing the game with friends. His beloved dog Zeus was never far behind.

Family time was especially important to Chris. He cherished trips to the cabin and the many vacations shared with loved ones, including a memorable journey in 2023 through Scotland, England, and Sweden — visiting family, exploring history, and making memories that will be forever treasured.

Above all, Chris loved to "talk shop." Whether under the hood of a car or in deep conversation about the latest project at his garage, his eyes lit up when discussing his work. It was more than a job — it was his passion.

Christopher was preceded in death by his grandparents Dale and Helen Elliott, Alex and Joyce Lutz, and uncles Joel and Michael Lutz. He is survived by his parents Terry and Mary Elliott, brothers Brandon (Michael) and Chad (Kendall), many aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends Matt (Christine) and goddaughter Colleen, countless friends, and his faithful companion, Zeus.

A service to honor and celebrate Chris’s life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Dare’s Funeral Home in Elk River, Minnesota. A reception will follow immediately at the Elk River Community Center, 1000 School Street, Elk River, MN.

Chris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him — his big heart, his generous spirit, and his unwavering ability to fix not only cars but often the lives around him.
