Carl "Gene" Eugene Thompson

Carl Eugene (Gene) Thompson, age 93, of Meadowvale (Elk River), MN, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of his family on October 25, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Margaret Thompson, as well as seven of his eight siblings.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sally Thompson, as well as his brother Dick (Judy) Thompson, four children: Tom (Janell) Thompson, Carolyn (Leo) Kuch, Mary Lou (Ryan) Gillette, and Gene (Debbie) Thompson, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a large extended family.

A private burial service was held at Meadowvale Cemetery. 

A celebration of his life will be held at the Elk River Methodist Church on November 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
