Brian Johnson Obituary

Age 61, passed away on 4/9/21 after a courageous battle with cancer. Brian was born on 3/14/1960 in Monticello, MN to Harold & Donna (Borst) Johnson. He graduated from Becker High School in 1978. He married Trudy (Pittman) Johnson on 9/1/1984. Together they had 3 children, Jennifer, Justin and Jarrod. Brian & Trudy spent their summers together working up near the Park Rapids and Bemidji area. Brian loved being “Up North”. Brian lived his life to the fullest doing what he loved. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, sports, spending time with his family, brothers, sisters, nieces & nephews. Brian was known for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was definitely the fun Dad and Uncle. Brian will be missed dearly by his loving family. He is survived by wife, Trudy; children Jennifer, Justin and Jarrod; siblings, Wayne (Bealinda), Mike (Kathy), Denise, and Diane Johnson, Patty (Jim) Johnson-Walker; brother-in-law, Norman Pittman; sister-in-law, Judy (John) Welch; and all of his nieces & nephews with whom he shared a very special bond. Brian is now united in heaven with the loved ones that have passed before him: his grandparents, parents, Harold & Donna Johnson; his in-laws, James & Roseann Pittman; many aunts, uncles and family friends. Per Brian’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. He never wanted to be the center of attention. The family will be doing a graveside memorial at a later date and he wished to have a special family celebration during deer hunting season up north where he loved being the most.
