Beverly Jean (Shoemaker) Mach

Beverly Jean Mach, age 76, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, July 8, 2023. She was born May 23, 1947 in Amboy, Illinois.

Bev graduated from Amboy High School in 1965 and furthered her education at Fort Wayne Bible College in Indiana and Sauk Valley Jr. College in Dixon, Illinois for nursing.

On January 8, 1972, Beverly Shoemaker and Arnold Mach were united in marriage in Dixon, Illinois.

She was a dedicated nurse with Midway Hospital in St. Paul, University of Minnesota Intensive Care Unit for Preemies, and at Guardian Angels Care Center. She volunteered her time at Sheriffs Youth Ranch in Isanti County, Alliance Christian Academy, and Prison Ministries.

Her life was based and centered around people. She found her riches and happiness in investing in others; always taking the time to lend a compassionate ear. Her love was genuine and without judgement. Her greatest accomplishment in life was becoming a Grandma and she deeply enjoyed spending time with them.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Virginia (Dale) Shoemaker; and brother, James Shoemaker.

Bev is survived by her husband, Arnie Mach; children, Jeffrey (Susan) Mach, Susan (Ronald) Farmer, James (Courtney) Mach; grandchildren, Jacob, Camry, Macy and Cana Mach, Briggs, Braxton, Savanna and Haley Farmer, Corrine, Daniel and Mary Mach; siblings, Gloria (Mark) Nusbaum, Carl (Cyndi) Shoemaker, Christine (Michael) Bonnell; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, July 17, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St NW, Elk River, MN. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at 11:15 AM, with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM, at Gateway Church, 13913 185th Ave NW, Elk River, MN.
