Benjamin "Benny" E. Amborn

Benny was born to Benjamin and Ellen Amborn on June 23rd 1934 in Morris, MN. He was united in marriage to Dolores Ann Kill. They farmed north of Chokio, MN until 1957.

They moved to Fulda, MN and owned a plumbing and HVAC business. In 1974 they moved to Nowthen, MN and he was the building inspector for the City of Coon Rapids and also Burns township for 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores and his sister, Barbara Grossman and baby boy Amborn. He is survived by his children; Susan Gerdes (Rod), Jeff Amborn (Deb), and Julie Jedlicki (Marty) brothers; Harvey Amborn (Audrey) and Roger Amborn (Julene); 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

He will be missed greatly. He was full of life, love and laughter. Benny and Dolores spent many winters in Apache Junction, AZ. They loved their horses and traveled the country with their trail riding friends. Benny found a companion, Janet, that made his final years more enjoyable.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Dare's Funeral Home 805 Main St. NW Elk River, MN 55330 at 12:00 PM with visitation one hour prior. Luncheon to follow service.
