Beatrice M. (Krause) James

Age 101, of Elk River.  Passed away on February 3, 2025, in Buffalo, MN.  Born in Marysville Township, MN on December 26, 1923.  She enjoyed gardening and raising turkeys while growing up on the farm.  She graduated from Buffalo High School.

Beatrice met her husband, Kenneth James, shortly after WWII and they were married on Valentine’s Day in 1948.  Beatrice always felt that God had blessed her with a large, wonderful family.

She is preceded by her husband, Kenneth; 1 grandson; 4 sisters; 2 brothers.

Beatrice is survived by her children, Marcia (Charles), Donald (Mary), Mary (John), Mona (Gary), Douglas (Carol), Monica (Russ); 20 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 1 surviving brother, David; numerous other family.

Funeral service at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1506 Main St. NW, Elk River, MN. 55330, with visitation starting at 8:30 AM.

Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Lutheran Hour Ministries, or Lutheran Indian Ministries.
