Arden “Ardie” Donald Dotseth, Age 92 of Elk River passed away at home in his sleep, before dawn April 7, 2021.
Born in Wayzata on September 1, 1928, to Rebecca Tini (Oraas) Dotseth and Ole Dotseth, Arden was the youngest of 9 siblings and therefore so dearly loved. Preceded in death by siblings Pearl, Clayton, Curtis, Richard, Vern, and brother closest in age who perished in WWII, Norman. Arden is survived by children Donald Steven Dotseth Sr., (Bonnie) Liisa Rose (Ted) Rurup, grandchildren Jimmy and Donnie Jr. ( Pam) Dotseth, Jonathan (Lydia), Collin, Teah Rose and namesake, Timothy Arden Rurup; great-grandson Karson; siblings Stanley (98) and Ruby (101); step-grandson Shawn (Anjte); step-great-granddaughter Marissa.
Arden worked hard to become skilled in his work. He loaded concrete block by hand until he became a boom-truck owner/driver/operator. When hospitalized with this third stroke, he was cared for in a building he helped create. Ardie took pride in his workmanship and faced difficulties with courage—a legacy to pass forward.
Arden never doubted there was a Creator God. "Just look outside", he would say. He hoped in Jesus for the forgiveness of sins.
Saturday, 4/17 from 3-5PM, at Dare's Funeral Home, 805 Main St, NW, Elk River, 763-441-1212, a socially distanced public viewing will be held for the public to pay their respects with a time for sharing of memories at 4PM.
