Allen David Axelson Jr.

Allen David Axelson Jr., lovingly known as Al, passed away on January 18, 2025, in Osseo, Minnesota, at the age of 64. He was born on November 29, 1960, in Princeton, Minnesota, to Allen David Axelson Sr. and Julia Ann Axelson (Demars).

Al is survived by his father, Allen David Axelson Sr.; his children, Sara Jacobs (Clint), Marc Axelson (Toni), and Cheyenne Cothrum (Travonte); and his cherished grandchildren Leah, Amy, Kyle, Riva, Jakobe, and two step-grandchildren, Cale and Ava, with another grandchild on the way. He is also survived by his siblings, Randy Axelson (Jenny) and Annette Weber (Rick), as well as many nieces and nephews. Al was preceded in death by his mother, Julia Ann Axelson; his grandparents; and his nephew, Mathew.

For 13 years, Al worked at VistaTek, where he was a dedicated and hardworking employee who took great pride in his job and valued the relationships he built with his coworkers. Before VistaTek Al worked at Plastic Products Incorporated from 1997 to 2009 & Roma Tool Plastics from 1981 to 1997. Outside of work, Al found joy in spending time at The Goat, a local bar where he formed lasting friendships. Even after he stopped drinking, he continued to visit for the camaraderie and connection it offered. Al deeply loved his family and friends and treasured the moments spent with them. Al loved his cat Mocha who was with him until the end.

Al’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy of love and dedication bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.

Celebration of life will be held on Thursday January 30th, 2025 from 1-4pm at 3pm we encourage friends and family to share memories they had with Al.
