Alice Faye (Dore) Crosbie age 74, of Elk River, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on February 22, 2026.
Alice was born on October 29, 1951, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Eugene Henry Dore and Adeline Muriel (Franzman) Dore. She was the oldest of three children. She graduated from Hopkins High School in 1969 and, following graduation, attended flight attendant school in California. After completing her training, she returned to Hopkins where she began working at Advance Packaging. It was there that she met the love of her life, Kenneth Duane Crosbie.
Alice and Kenneth were married on April 14, 1973, and shared 52 wonderful years together. They made their home in Elk River, where they spent over 50 years raising their three children, six grandchildren and building a life together.
Alice worked at several jobs before beginning a long and dedicated career with the United States Postal Service as a clerk in the Minneapolis sorting facility. She faithfully served for 30 years before retiring. During her time there, she was also proud to serve as an APWU Union Steward, advocating for her fellow workers.
Family was Alice’s greatest joy. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Kenneth; her children, Rebecca (Nathan) Meyer, Heather (Ronald) Krier, and Charles (Marcia) Crosbie; and her cherished grandchildren, Evan, Nolan, and Isaac Meyer; Adeline and Grace Crosbie; and Tabitha Krier; and her brothers, John Dore and Dennis (Barb) Dore, along with many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents.
In her free time, Alice enjoyed crocheting beautiful afghans—especially baby blankets for loved ones. She looked forward each year to shopping at Hallmark to find the perfect ornaments to add to her growing collection. She also had a passion for her 2002 Thunderbird and enjoyed traveling in her Thunderbird. She took immense pride in joining and hearing about her grandchildren’s achievements and accomplishments. She treasured the time spent with her family, whether at home or at the family cabin, and created spaces filled with warmth, love, and lasting memories.
Alice will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
