Alan “Cush” Christensen

November 4, 1955 – June 10, 2026

Alan Christensen, age 70, of Elk River, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2026, surrounded by his family.

Alan was born on November 4, 1955, in St. Cloud, Minnesota, to Glen and Victoria (Koscielniak) Christensen. He spent much of his life in Elk River, where he built a career as a dedicated sheet rocker and was known for his strong work ethic and straightforward nature.

On September 8, 1979, Alan married the love of his life, Audrey (Fussy) Christensen. Together they shared many years of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a devoted husband and proud father to his daughter, Jasmine Fussy.

Alan found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved hunting, watching old westerns, testing his knowledge while watching Jeopardy!, playing cribbage with family and friends, and listening to his favorite music. He had a special admiration for Stevie Nicks and Marilyn Monroe, interests that brought him much enjoyment throughout his life. Alan also had a deep appreciation for Native American culture and history, a subject that fascinated him for many years. He shared a special bond with his beloved dog, Sakari, who brought him companionship, comfort, and unconditional love.

Alan is survived by his loving wife, Audrey Christensen; daughter, Jasmine Fussy; brothers, Jerome “Whitey” Christensen, Glen “Sonny” (Paulette) Christensen, and David (Tanya) Christensen; sisters, Linda Johnson (Milo) and Eleanor “Cheech” Starr (Russell); brothers-in-law, Jim Fussy, Bob (Deb) Fussy, Tom (Polly) Fussy, Donald (Judy) Fussy, and Harvey (Brenda) Fussy; sisters-in-law, Elaine Batcha (Denny), Judy Wirth (Rick), Lynette Fussy, and Peggy Nyberg (Gary); along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Victoria Christensen; his brother, John Christensen; his nephew, Troy Christensen; his brother-in-law, Jerry Fussy; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Marie (Bauer) Fussy.

Alan will be remembered for his loyalty to family, his quiet strength, his sense of humor, and the countless memories he created with those he loved. His presence will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.
