Virnig, Thomas Moore, age 42 of Rogers, MN. Died at his home with wife Rebecca at his side. Thomas was born April 29, 1977 in St. Paul, MN to Norman and Kathleen Virnig. Thomas attended St. John’s preparatory school in Collegeville and graduated from Cathedral high school in St. Cloud. He attended St. Thomas University, graduating with a BA in English and a minor in Philosophy. Major Virnig served in the U. S. Army from 2003-2014, serving tours in South Korea, Iraq and Egypt as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Officer. In 2005 he married the love of his life Rebecca Strang, daughter of Thomas and Patricia Strang. Thomas was employed as a Quality Assurance Specialist for the Department of Defense. Survived by wife, Rebecca (Strang) Virnig; parents, Norman and Kathleen Virnig; siblings Dawn Virnig, Joy (Doug) Brew, Matthew (Linda) Virnig, Timothy (Erin) Virnig and many nieces and nephews.
