Susan "Sue" Carol Karpinske

Of Ramsey, Minnesota, found peace on January 3rd, 2020, she was 74 years old.

Born September 11th, 1945 to Rudolph and Alma Goranson, she grew up in Saum, Minnesota.  On October 12th, 1968, Susan married the love of her life David Karpinske. In that love they had three children, who would bless them with six grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. 

When Susan wasn’t doting over her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, she spent her time being creative. Susan enjoyed crafting, and making memories with family and friends. While she was fond of her home in Ramsey, Minnesota, she found a special place in her heart for the warm winters of Arizona. Meeting many new friends along the way. 

On July 3rd, 2019, Susan was diagnosed with Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer. She faced her battle with this awful disease with grace, dignity and strength. And although she is now resting, we are grateful for the time we had with her.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents: Rudolph and Alma Goranson; her brother: Duane Goranson; and her precious grandson: Noah Otto. 

Susan is survived by her loving husband: David Karpinske; son: Troy Karpinske; son: Brent Karpinske (Klaudia); daughter: Dana Otto (Andi); grandchildren: Nick, Emma, Piper, Emily, and Kayla; great-grandchildren: Kayden, Addilynn, Jennifer, and Jessica. Along with her extended family and many friends. 

Celebration of life will be January 10, 2020 at 12:30pm at The Church of St. Andrew, 566-4th St NW in Elk River, MN. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service.
