Samir Mešanović passed away peacefully in his home after his battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer on October 10, 2019. Samir was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina to Ago and Senija Mešanović (née Mahmić) on October 21, 1963.
Samir immigrated to Grand Rapids, Michigan to attend Grand Valley State University in 1987, where he graduated with his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering in 1991. He met the love of his life, Rhonda, on a blind date in 1990 and were married a year later on Valentine's Day of 1991.
Samir had a very successful career working in manufacturing engineering at Iris Computer Company, Nelson Metal Products, J.L. French, Harley-Davidson, Mercury Marine, and most recently Twin City Die Castings as Director of Sales and Marketing. Throughout his career, he earned many accolades, including an M.S. in Engineering Management from UW-Milwaukee in 2003 and six patents. Samir's greater success, if you asked him, however, was his family. He was a devoted husband to Rhonda and a loving father to his son Dustin and his daughter Samantha Azra.
Samir is survived by: his wife Rhonda, son Dustin Bremer (wife- Brittany), grandchildren Caleb and Anna Bremer, daughter Samantha Azra (husband- Daniel Hernandez), mother Senija, and sister Sabina Hrustemović (husband- Haris). Samir was preceded in death by his father, Ago.
A celebration of Samir’s life will be held on Saturday, November 9 from 1-3 pm at Harry’s Prohibition Bistro (668 S. Pier Drive, Sheboygan, WI) for all who wish to attend.
