Peggy Ann Launderville

Our family matriarch, Peggy Ann Launderville died at the age of 82 in Otsego, Minnesota on May 22, 2019 of natural causes. Celebration of Life will be at 11AM with visitation one hour prior on Saturday, June, 1, 2019 at Dare’s Funeral Home, 805 Main St, Elk River.  Interment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery.

Born in Storm Lake, Iowa on November 5, 1936 to Orville and Amanda Thayer. She was raised on a farm where she learned the value of hard work and driving farm machinery at an early age.

She went to Hayes Consolidates School and graduated in 1954 in a class of 12. She attended a business school in Omaha, Nebraska and received a degree in Accounting.

She met her husband Louis E. Launderville and were married on July 2, 1955.  They moved to Minnesota in 1956 and bought their 1st house in Brooklyn Park in 1957, where they raise their five children. She worked as an Insurance appraiser for a bank and worked there until she retired. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis; sister, Alice Sievers (John); brother, Don Thayer; and daughter-in-law Rhonda Launderville

She is survived by her five children, Lisa Hinton (Greg), Bradley Launderville, Carmen Mohler (Pat), Christine Zilmer, and Patrick Launderville (Kelly);  10 grandchildren; and 17.5 great-grandchildren.
