James Robert Kirscht

Kirscht, James Robert of Elk River on April 6th, 2019, beloved husband and father, passed away at the age of 52.  Jim was born on October 2, 1966 to William and Kathleen Kirscht in Monticello, MN. He was with Kiffmeyer construction for 32 years.  On October 21st, 2000, Jim married Wanda Flander and became the father of Richard and Michael Flander.  Jim was a man of strong conviction and devotion to his family and friends.  Jim had a passion for vehicles, most notably Ford Trucks and Mustangs.  He could be counted on in times of need by anyone who knew him. He was known for his ability to fix just about anything mechanical, a talent of which his grandchildren affectionately referred to as “Papa Fix”.  Jim will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  Jim was preceded in death by his father, Bill and son, Rick.  He is survived by his mother, Kathleen; wife, Wanda; son and daughter, Michael and Sarah; his grandchildren, Brittany, Talyn, Carson, Colin, Tristan and Helen; his siblings, Dave (Patti), Bob (Jeanine), Diane (Rick) and Colleen (Neil); his close cousins, Alan and Dan; countless friends, coworkers, nieces, nephews and additional family members.  Memorial service Thursday, April 11, 2019, 1 PM with visitation 1 hour prior to service.  Private interment.
