Ida Christianson Age 85 of Elk River, MN passed away peacefully on April 25, 2019 at Guardian Angels Care Center in Elk River.
Ida was born on January 3, 1934 to Octave and Maria Baillargeon in Buckland, Quebec Canada. She married Orrin Christianson on January 5, 1952. They moved to Elbow Lake, MN in 1954. She was an active member of the St Olaf Catholic Church. Ida loved taking care of others and worked at Grant County Hospital for 25 years as a nursing assistant and in the respiratory department.
Ida is survived by her 6 children, Ronald Christianson, Andre' (Lori) Christianson, Denise (Bruce) Peyton, Marc (Ximena) Christianson, Lisa (Curt) Jenson, Doug (Lori) Christianson, 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandaughter, siblings, Gerard, Emile, Cecile, Marguerite and Liliane
Ida was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Orrin, her grandson Ryan, siblings Arthur, Pierre, Herman, Augustine, Paul, Marieanna, Lucienne, Fernande, Jeannette and multiple siblings that passed during childhood.
Ida was an amazing cook and always had coffee and fresh baked goods ready for anyone that might stop by. She loved the small town of Elbow Lake and always considered it home. She enjoyed playing Yahtzee, Scrabble, Farkle and cards. Ida made countless pieces of beautiful ceramic items that are treasured by her family. Ida's grandchildren adored their "grandma naughty". She always made life fun and had a heart of gold. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will remain in our memories forever.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at 11AM with visitation beginning at 10AM at the Historic Church of Saint Michael (Alleluia Lutheran Church), 19 Main Street North, Saint Michael.
