Elizabeth Matthews Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” Renee (Driver) Matthews, age 95, of Elk River went to be with Jesus on Sunday, September 29, 2019. She will be greatly missed by husband, Bill; children, Jonelle, Bill, Kelli, Mary; and many grand and great grandchildren.

The following notice was written by Betty's grandson, William:

"My grandpa said goodbye to his sweetheart of over 70 years this afternoon. Their first date wasn't intentional, but one evening together was all it took for them to know they would spend a life together. Four children and many more grandchildren, through triumph and tragedy they made it look easy. Life won't be the same with her not here but I know we will see her again. Love you grandma. You are the best."

A Homegoing Service will be at Solid Rock Church. 11800 196th Ave NW – Elk River, on Saturday, Oct 12 at 10:00 am.
