Downing "Lou" Fountain

Downing “Lou” Fountain, age 92 of Elk River, passed away peacefully on Feb 18, 2019. Lou loved her Lord and Savior and everything she did was a witness for God.  Lou served God through her church and was the first to bring a meal, dessert, a visit, prayer and card wishes to those in need.  Family and friends were her optimum joy.  Taking care of her grand and greatgrand babies was her specialty which created many memories for everyone.  Lou's calm and gentle and kind demeanor and strong faith were blessings to her family and friends. Preceded in death by husband, Forest; grandson, Bill Skluzacek; parents; and siblings. Survived by children, Joseph (Jackee), Patricia (Elgin) Skluzacek, Terry (Denise) and Steven; grandchildren, Sara (Paul), Amber (Chris), Gabrielle, Guy (June), Jerry, Erika, Michelle, Jason (Rachel) and Scott (Jocelyn); 17 great grandchildren; Diane Atwood; and sister, Doris Bragg. Funeral service on Sat, Mar 2 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1506 Main St NW, Elk River. Memorials preferred to the church or CAER Food Shelf, Elk River.
