Alice Elizabeth (Thompson) Swanson

Alice E. Swanson, age 89, of Zimmerman passed away peacefully at Sterling Pointe Senior Living in Princeton.

She was born in Meadowvale, Elk River to Carl and Margaret (Boots) Thompson in 1929. Alice had 5 brothers and 3 sisters. She married Lloyd R. Swanson in 1948 and they had 5 children. She is survived by her children, Linda (Don) Dussault, Tom Swanson, Jeanne (Clete) Weatherly, Kay (Don) Stellflug, Russell Swanson; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Lloyd; brothers, Chuck and Roland; sisters, Peg Johnson and Judy Ruis.

A funeral service will be at United Methodist Church, 1304 Main Street – Elk River, on Monday, October 28th at 11:00am with a visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers memorials to be for the Alzheimer’s  Association.
